Don Stout, Enterprise Plumbing President
Enterprise Plumbing Inc. was founded in 1985, and to this day remains a family owned company. Our geographic territory encompasses all of Kane County, and portions of DuPage, Kendall, Will, DeKalb, McHenry, and suburban Cook counties. No job is too large or too small.

Briefly, describe your business?
Family owned, honest, personalized service.

What size is your company?
Depending on needs; small enough to be personal and responsive and large enough for larger commercial projects.

What is your ideal client?
Someone in need of an honest responsive plumbing contractor who is committed to their satisfaction.

What products and/or services does your business offer?
Our services range from repairing a sink faucet to town home projects to large commercial projects.

How did you originally discover the idea for your business?
We purchased the assets from a failing company and at that time focused on custom homes.

What have been the keys to success in your eyes?
The key to our success has been to be as diversified and as specialized as we can with constant updating and training. You need to adjust with your customers needs.

What kind of relationship do you establish with your customers?
We help our customers with their problem or issue in a timely and economic way.

How do you maintain these relationships?
We are always there for our customers and we keep them informed of any changes in our industry that may help benefit them.

Have you noticed any new trends in your industry?
People tend to update and maintain their property in smaller bits and pieces instead of a total rehab.

What is the funniest story you’ve come across in your business?
Even with as exciting as plumbing can be, there are not too many funny stories for us to share, except one where there were two plumbers on the job and the one said to the other, I said socket, not sprocket. I guess you had to be there!!

What is your greatest achievement?
One of our greatest achievements is that we built our own shop completely “involving” the entire family 8 years ago. It is truly a great accomplishment!!

Describe your business in five words or less.
Honest, Fair, Respectful, Professional, Clean
