History

In October 1998, James N. Chakires formed a new accounting firm that continues to focus on the manufacturing, wholesale, construction, retail and professional service industries in the Chicagoland area. At the firm’s inception, we were a one-person operation functioning as a home based business. As we embark on our 11th year in business, we have grown to 10 employees and have relocated to a state of the art facility with cutting edge technology in order to provide the highest level of service available.

The word “Apex” is symbolic to us. It reminds us of what is important. Our name represents the top, the highest point, or the pinnacle. My belief is that if we commit to a name that represents the highest of standards, the firm’s philosophy would always be to provide the highest quality services to every client through innovative, free thinking ideas and creative strategies.

As we offer our services to the Chicagoland area, we believe our clients will be best served by a firm that can provide timely accounting, consulting and tax compliance services along with value-added advice resulting from a combination of financial savvy and an oversized dose of passion to help.

Although this is a voluntary program, our proactive approach ensures that our firm meets the highest of standards. We have received the highest rating issued under this program at each review since the firm’s inception
• We are also members of CPA Connect, Inc., an international association of independent accounting firms, which provides us with access to resources and professional expertise throughout the country as well as internationally.
